JHS Cheese Ball Fuzz is JHS' tribute to Lovetone Big Cheese. Big Cheese was made in the mid-1990's and has been used by The Edge, J. Mascis, Kevin Shields and many other notable guitarists. Original Big Cheeses go for about 600-700 € on the used market, when they come on sale. JHS Cheese Ball gives you the same sound with a lot smaller price tag and smaller size too. One of the best fuzz/distortion sounds ever.
Volume: Sets output volume level.
Gain: Controls the amount of distortion/fuzz.
Tone: Controls the tone, gets brighter towards 5 o'clock. Tone is bypassed when the Mode control is in the Off position.
Mode: Chooses between four different tone settings. Off position is the brightest and has the least amount of gain. Tone is bypassed in this position. 1. gives you a mid-scooped sound. 2. adds more mids and gain to your sound. 3. has the most gain and gives you gated fuzz sounds when the Gain setting is close to the maximum settings.
