MXR Sugar Drive gives you an overdrive based on Klon Centaur in a mini size. Just like the original Klon, the voltage is doubled from 9 to 18V inside the pedal, which gives the sound more headroom and a more natural charachter.
- Controls:
Volume: Sets output volume level.
Drive: Sets the amount of overdrive/gain. Starts from clean sound at 7 o'clock. Blends in overdrive as you go towards 5 o'clock. Similar smooth transition as you get with a tube amplifier as you increase the gain.
Tone: Controls the amount of high frequencies.
Buffer Switch: With the switch on the left side of the pedal you can choose if the bypass is buffered, like the original Klon, or if the pedal is in true bypass mode. - Power Requirements: 2.1 mm 9V DC centre negative power supply, 18,5 mA.
