JHS "Legends of Fuzz" series Smiley is JHS's version of a 1969 Fuzz Face. It uses a silicon transistor, which gives it a more aggressive sound than the germanium version made in 1967-1968. Smiley cleans up great with the guitar's volume pot. The sound of this pedal has been made famous by Jimi Hendrix, Jack White, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour and Eric Johnson.
