The EHX Super Ego Plus gives you synthetic freeze effects, plus a wide range of modulation, delay and pitch effects. You can even get more sounds by adding other effects to the pedal’s internal effects loop. You can also control the effects parameters with an expression pedal.
Dry: Sets the volume of the dry signal.
Effect: Sets the volume of the effected signal.
Attack: Adjusts the Freeze Effect in fade in speed. At 7:00, the effect can be heard immediately. After 5:00 the delay will be extended.
Decay: Adjusts the fade out rate of the Freeze effect. At 7:00 the effect effect fades away quickly. At 5:00 the delay will be extended.
Threshold: Determines how sensitive the effect is activated. With this adjustment at 7:00 the pedal requires a very strong incoming signal to activate the effect. At 5:00 the effect becomes more sensitive.
In Layer: Sustain, Auto, and Latch modes, this adjustment controls the level of "frozen" signal before it is mixed with a new sample.
Gliss: Determines the softness and seamlessness of the second frozen signal to another.
Effect Selector: You can add additional effects to the sound or use them as independent effects. You can choose from 11 effect types: Detune, Echo, Delay, Flange, Phase, Mod, Rotary, Trem 1, Trem 2, Pitch and Filter.
Rate: Defines the modulation speed of the selected effect.
Depth: Defines the modulation depth of the selected effect.
Mode switch: The superego has five different operating modes, which are the following modes or combinations of them: Momentary, Latch, Auto.
Effect switch: Turn on the Super Ego side effects and off. The effect can be used independently or with the Freeze effect.
Bypass switch: Switches the pedal on and off. Also used to control the Freeze function.
