Earthquaker Devices Warden Compressor is an optical compressor with more control than its size suggests.
- Controls:
Tone: Warden is designed so that it will add its own character to your sound . However, you can adjust it to your liking. At 7 o'clock you will get a treble cut and at 5 o'clock a treble boost. At 11 o'clock you will get an almost neutral setting.
Level: Adjusts output volume level. Interactive with Sustain and Ratio controls.
Sustain: Adjusts how hot the incoming signal is and also affects the amount of compression. Hotter the signal, more compression occurs.
Ratio: Adjusts compression level. Maximum compression at 5 o'clock.
Attack: Adjusts how quickly the compressor is activated. At 7 o'clock the activation is almost immediate. Longer activation time towards 5 o'clock.
Release: Adjusts how quickly the compressor is deactivated. At 7 o'clock the there is a quickest release and the release gets longer towards 5 o'clock. - Power Requirements: 2.1 mm 9V DC centre negative power supply. 45 mA. Internal voltage doubling to 18V for more headroom.
